Passionate about education, teaching and lifelong learning...
I am an Early Career Teacher, having graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Education (Primary/Middle).
Passion is a word that I can highly relate to in terms of myself and my pedagogical practices. I am a newly graduated educator with a passion for knowledge, passion for teaching and passion for kids. I have a passion to receive and impart knowledge, someone who can relay the information they receive to students with diverse abilities. I am passionate about building strong relationships with my students and developing their whole sense of wellbeing - social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and physical. I feel powerfully about engaging students in their learning - by providing them with inclusive, meaningful learning experiences that relate to 21st century learning and in forth promoting lifelong learning for them to become confident, active participants in the future to come. I continually seek opportunities to build on my pedagogical knowledge and skills in my drive to be the best educator I can be. I am compassionate, empathetic, motivated and have the interpersonal skills to motivate students to learn and change their lives through education. I have a keen interest in learning from my experienced colleagues, being part of a team and using digital technologies to interest and engage students in core content. This portfolio has been created for me to record evidence for meeting the Australian Standards of Teaching, and as a place to reflect on my learning and growth as a teacher. |
